Can I trigger an interrupt on pins 31/33 changing in any way? I can make due with an interrupt triggering when either pin is changed.

Looking at multiple sources on external interrupts/pin change interrupts, it looks like the only pins supported for interrupts on the Mega are PCINT 0-23 and INT 0-7.

These pins translate to PC6 (A14) and PC4 (A12) on the AtMega2560. Hi I am trying to learn how to use the Pin Change Interrupts. The encoder is connected to pins 31 and 33 on the Mega. As far as I see, only pins 18 and 19 work correctly with all the five parameters. They wake up the board only detecting a LOW state. I'm starting to hit a wall when trying to poll the rotary encoder via interrupt. All the interrupt pins in MEGA2560 work without problems, detecting all the five modes, but they cannot wake up the board from the sleep state with HIGH, RISING, FALLING and CHANGE. Therefore, the speed of the Mega cannot keep up with the frequency of steps from the encoders. I've gotten as far as displaying basic text on the screen and polling the pushbuttons/rotary encoder. I was trying to setup an Arduino Mega 2560 using the interrupt pins and this library as an odometry node in ROS however, I realized I made a miscalculation in my gear ratio. Meanwhile, in my arduino mega, the WIRE1 Coming from megas RX1 is connected to unos TX. I'm trying to experiment with the RAMPS 1.4 board with a RepRapDiscount Full Graphic Smart Controller connected to it. it seems my arduino uno isnt receiving anything from its RX/TX ports.
